念願の種子島～トカラへ向けた船旅がいよいよ今日からスタートだ。
昨日の夜に釣り道具や飲み物食料品などをたっぷりと積み込み、準備は万端だ。
朝5時母港である南宇和郡愛南町を出港。
長い長い船旅の始まりである。海の上は朝・昼・夜といろいろな顔を見せるから、長い航海でも退屈することはない。朝は出港して、しばらくすると日が出てくる。まだ、周りに島が見える中朝日をみながら先へと進む。
少し行くと黒い雲を抜け、虹が見える。最近虹なんか見たことがないような気が・・・。普段の慌ただしい生活だとゆっくりみる暇もない。海に架かる虹も綺麗だ。
周りに島が見えなくなった頃、海の色は群青色へ空も青 雲は綺麗な白い入道雲へと変わる。
やはり南へ行くと雲も綺麗だ。
鹿児島までは速力約17knotで航行していたのだが、大隅半島を越えると潮流の影響か一気に速力が12knotまで下がる。AISで大型船をみても、同じ方向に走る船は遅く、反対に対抗する船は速力が21knot近く出ているので、潮がかなり流れているのだろう。 仕方ないので、そのまま種子島に向け航海を続け、走ることTOTAL約９時間。ようやく今日の目的地である種子島が見えてくる。しかし、今日の港は種子島の南の島間港であるので、ここからさらに1時間半だ。
しかし目的の種子島に沿って走るのは景色も変わりながらとても楽しい。
午後4時過ぎ無事に島間港に到着。今日宿泊する長田荘の主人（鴨女丸船長）が車で迎えに来てくれ、かつ燃料給油の段取りまで・・・。ありがたい。
給油は、有限会社船川石油店さん。船まで丘から軽油を運んでくれる。燃料消費は予想より若干少なめの430L程度であった。計算からすると、40L/hである。
明日のトカラに向け燃料を満タンにし、船長の車で長田荘へ出発！！
道を走っているとなんだかいい感じ。肌にあうと言うのだろうかとっても落ち着く。
ということで
明日はトカラへ向かわず種子島観光をすることに急遽変更と相成りました。
トカラへ行きたいという夢もあるのだが、これからゆっくり1島づつ制覇しながら、南へ南へ下るのもいいかなぁと急遽トカラ行きを中止しました（笑）
その夜は明日のレンタカーの手配をし、ゆっくりと床についたのでした。
