さて、昨日の日記で書いたように今日の日記から水野敬也さんの夢をかなえるゾウの課題を一つずつ実践していきたいと思う。
昨日実践した結果を今日の日記に書く様にします。
まず1日目の課題「靴をみがく」である。
この、課題というのは書かれた文章を実践することが目的ではなく、この「靴をみがく」という行為を通じて何かを学べということである。
今回の「靴を磨く」の文中には、イチローこと鈴木一郎選手の『他の選手が帰ってもずっと残ってグラブを小学校の頃から同じようにみがき続けている。神聖な商売道具を粗末に扱うことは考えられない。』という例をあげ、自分が普段の生活の中で一番多くの時間を費やす仕事の中で影ながら活躍している靴に感謝をし、その念を「靴磨き」という作業を持って実感、実践することだろうと自分なりに理解し、実践することとした。
私は、今までも靴磨きというのは欠かしたことがない。昔から両親に「どこかへ行くと、いくらいい格好をしていても、足もと（靴）を見られるからきちんとしなさい」を教えられてきたからである。仕事柄工場内の鉄粉が飛び散ったり、塗装の粉体の上を歩いたりと靴に過酷な条件がおおいので、高級な靴はもったいなく履いていないが、安い靴でも綺麗にすることは可能だと思い、これを実践してきた。とはいえ、私自身ではなく、普段は靴磨きは家内の仕事であるのだが・・・。
本来は自分で上の様な気持ちで行うのがいいのだろうが、とりあえず自分で出来る時には自分で実践し、家内に頼む時には家内に感謝する事を通して靴への感謝を表すのと、毎朝靴を履く時にその気持ちを思い出すこととと自分なりに実践を変えた。
